When was the last time you tasted a sauce so good that it caused an explosion of fireworks in your mouth with every bite... (Probably never).


Well today that changes with my 5 minute pesto aioli recipe. As a big aioli fan and an even bigger pesto fan, I scoured the internet long and hard, looking for that perfect pesto aioli recipe...


Unfortunately, my efforts were fruitless and I didn't find a recipe that lived up to my expectations. But fortunately for you, I took matters into my own hands and set about creating the ultimate pesto aioli recipe.


I'm happy to say that I was able to succeed in a big way. Not only does this pesto aioli taste phenomenal, but it's also extremely healthy compared with most aioli recipes out there. This makes for a dangerous combo that you won't be able to stay away from.


In fact, I found myself putting this pesto aioli on everything! It literally tastes good on anything savoury (...no, I'm not exaggerating).


And my personal favourite part... It only takes 5 minutes to make. It's extremely easy. All you need to do is blend a few ingredients together, and voila, perfect pesto aioli.


Trust me, this aioli will take your burgers, fries, veggies and any other dippable food to a whole new level.



Taste & Consistency


If you read the section above, you'll already know that this 5 minute pesto aioli tastes absolutely spectacular. Harnessing the power of basil, this aioli has a potent pesto taste that's not for the faint hearted. Not only that, but the lemon juice and garlic perfectly balance the taste out and give it that 'mmmmmm factor.'


The consistency is what you'd expect from aioli; smooth and creamy.




5 Minute Pesto Aioli Recipe

Method


  1. In a food processer (or blender), pulse together the basil, garlic, lemon juice, egg yolks, salt and pepper. 
  2. Once combined, turn the food processer to a slow speed. Pour the olive oil in slowly, until the aioli becomes thick and creamy. *NOTE: you may not need to use all the olive oil, so go slow and add bit by bit until you reach your desired consistency
  3. That's it. Easy as pie!




Hot Tips & Conclusion


This 5 minute pesto aioli typically keeps in the fridge for around 3-5 days.


Whilst it goes well with just about everything savoury, I've found it goes down an absolute treat with my sweet potato and feta rolls, as well as my green veggie chips. I also drizzled this pesto aioli over my healthy chicken teriyaki last night, and it tasted absolutely amazing.
